Vice Principal grades 4-6

Welcome to Hellgate Elementary! 

Thanks for taking the time to visit my webpage!  My name is Brent Heist, and I am entering my 17th year at Hellgate Elementary.  This will be my second year as Vice-Principal of Hellgate Intermediate and Dean of Students for the district.  Previously, I taught and coached at Hellgate Middle School for 15 years. I look forward to getting to know all of you throughout the upcoming school year.   

As Vice-Principal of Hellgate Intermediate (grades 4-6), I will be working to help all students be successful. One of the key ingredients to a productive school year for our students is increased parental involvement.  Be sure to familiarize yourself with the student handbook, as it contains all our expectations of students here at Hellgate Elementary.  Please don't hesitate to call or email me if you have any questions or concerns about what is happening at school, or if you would just like to let me know something that would further benefit your child. 

My role as Dean of Students is to ensure that all students who attend Hellgate Elementary can get to and from school safely.  Please contact me immediately if you have any concerns or questions about student transportation. Expectations for student behavior while on the bus can also be found in the student handbook. It is my belief that all students have the right to a positive bus experience each and every day.  In conjunction with the dedicated staff at Hellgate Transportation, I will work tirelessly to ensure this is the case for all students.
